Will it be painful?
Your teeth may ache for about 3-5 days after the headgear has been fitted. If necessary, mild painkillers such as the ones you would normally take for a head ache, may help (please read the instructions on the packet regarding dosage). Do not stop wearing the headgear because of tooth ache, otherwise you will have to go through the discomfort all over again when you start wearing it once more.

Will the headgear disturb my sleep?
The headgear may disturb your sleep for the first night or two. If you are wearing it in the evenings, as you are supposed to, you will get used to it very quickly.

Can I eat with the headgear on?
No, it will not be possible for you to eat and drink with the headgear in place.
